Nas Talks Racism With Anderson Cooper On CNN

Last night, Rock the Bells partner Nas appeared on CNN via satellite during Anderson Cooper’s round table discussion special, Race and Justice In America II where they talked about a very touchy subject, racism. In the wake of the Trayvon Martin case, racism has been an issue many artists have addressed. Nas claims that people continue to prejudge others based on appearance.

“If I don’t know something about you, Anderson, I’m going to judge you based on a bad experience I had with another white person,” Nas said. “If you don’t know me, and you walk down the street and you see me, my pants are hanging, you’re going to assume the worse. At this point, America is looking like barbarians.”
