Rock the Bells artist Brother Ali sat down with HardKnockTV and voiced his opinion on the infamous Trayvon Martin case. He speaks on how racism is a serial killer and how the Martin case is similar to Emmett Till’s murder back in the 1950’s. He also talks about racism being alive in institutions and that it targets young black men and women. Brother Ali stated the following:
“They said Emmett Till whistled at a White woman. They say all of these things [like], ‘He did something he wasn’t supposed to be doing.’ And then they always find a way to let the killers go free under some weird little loophole in the law. This case is part of that. This case is part of that legacy. Racism is a killer. Racism is a serial killer.”
Brother Ali is not the only MC voicing his opinions on the case. What are your thoughts?
